ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE EDITOR ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Bump is looking for an Associate Editor to manage its pregnancy and parenting news vertical. You don’t need to have kids, but you do need to get excited about all things baby, birth and breastfeeding. This person will also work with the senior editor on evergreen content, including product roundups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source, pitch, write and build up to four news stories a day
  • Aid in social strategy, posting your own stories on the appropriate social media outlets when necessary
  • Write and update existing product roundups
  • Write and update existing core content articles
  • Lead annual gear awards: Best of Baby
  • Edit The Bump emails
  • Onboard contributors, including experts and parents wishing to share personal experiences

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-4 years of experience in related field
  • Excellent writer and ability to turn out quick, concise and clean copy
  • Strong news judgment
  • Experience building in a CMS
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices  
  • Experience writing product copy is preferred
  • Experience creating short social-friendly videos is a plus
  • Familiarity with social tools like Social Flow, as well as analytic tools like Google Analytics a plus

ABOUT THE INVESTOR RELATIONS TEAM AND ROLE:

XO Group is looking for an Investor Relations professional to join our Finance team.  The XO Finance team provides financial results to support business decisions, SEC filings,  and external and internal financial communication, Reporting to the Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Development, this individual will help manage the company’s interactions with Wall Street. In this role, you will also support the company’s corporate development initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Director, Investor Relations on preparation and analysis of quarterly earnings call materials, including prepared remarks, investor presentation and Q&A documents
  • Organize and execute the quarterly earnings process with senior management

ABOUT THE OFFICE & OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE ROLE & OUR TEAM

GigMasters, the top event booking service, is seeking an Office & Operations Associate to assist the Senior Operations Manager in creating and maintaining efficiently operating business systems & office processes. This individual will be responsible for assisting with all critical business systems including, but not limited to, the phone queue, corporate email system, and CRM.  You will also provide crucial operational support to other departments to help maximize productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have an insatiable desire for process improvement and be a diehard problem solver with a passion for data and systems. This is a position that requires strong technical competency, innovation, and collaboration, with a willingness to wear many hats as needed.

GOALS OF THE POSITION

  • Ensure smooth functioning of all critical business systems & office processes.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to internal constituents
  • Assist the Senior Operations Manager in keeping the office running like a well oiled machine

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide operational support to other departments as needed
  • Assist with administration of critical office software and systems including but not limited to: Google Drive, Kudos, Office 365, Samanage, Gmail, ShoreTel, and Slack
  • Make sure all employees maintain the necessary network, hardware & software configuration
  • Order all hardware & software for new and existing employees subject to the approval of the Senior Operations Manager
  • Ensure smooth onboarding experience for all new employees with regard to hardware, software, and supplies.
  • Assist with minor office repairs & improvements
  • Assist Senior Operations Manager with hardware, software and systems support issues reported on the Operations JIRA board.
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement of office supplies, hardware, and software subject to the approval of the Senior Operations Manager
  • Keep the office clean, organized and running smoothly.  This includes but is not limited to stocking the supply area, tidying and organizing conferences rooms and common areas

  • Must possess 2+ years of experience in operations or related field

ABOUT THE ENTERPRISE DATA ARCHITECT ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Enterprise Data Architect is a highly visible and key cross-functional role that is tasked with ensuring the Tech organization is operating with a data first mentality and that data quality, integrity, consistency, and reliability are core requirements of all software/data systems. The Enterprise Data Architect will develop a detailed knowledge/understanding of the data our systems produce and provide both tactical and strategic direction as it pertains to data management, consumption, and production. This individual must possess the combination of business knowledge, technical skills, and people skills to define and guide data strategy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Champion data quality, integrity, consistency, and reliability throughout the tech organization by defining and promoting best practices and establishing/enforcing data governance across all product squads

 

  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership on advanced data techniques, data architecture, and data integration implementations, including the assist and review of logical and physical data models as well as other important data structures (messaging, events, etc.)
  • Establish standards and guidelines for the design and development, tuning/optimization, and deployment of persistence technologies
  • Partner with the data warehousing group, product analytics, and business intelligence to ensure their data needs are being met
  • Develop specific metrics (KPIs) to assess data quality/consistency and measures/reports on these metrics periodically
  • Works with the security architect to ensure compliance with data security and privacy mandates

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Statistics preferred
  • Several years of experience being responsible for data architecture on an enterprise-wide scale
  • Extensive experience modeling and implementing operational systems (transactional systems)
  • Expert knowledge and experience with both structured and semi-structured data and persistent storage systems, including both SQL based and flexible schema systems (notably PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch)
  • Experience working with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence systems. Experience in multi-dimensional modeling and developing star schemas, normalized and denormalized models, and utilizing “slow-changing” dimensions.
  • Event modeling experience required. Familiarity with Segment a plus.

ABOUT THE WEB ANALYTICS ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a Web Analytics Analyst to help us plan more personalized and fun weddings in less timeas well as reimagine how people propose, navigate a pregnancy and raise healthy babies. The Analyst will identify insights and trends in our data, enabling us to build products that better address a couple’s needs during life’s most important moments. Given the unique perspective of working across products and brands, this role is positioned to influence decision making by providing thoughtful analytical insights.

This position in the Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics department sits at the intersection of User Experience, Product Analytics and Data Intelligence. The Analyst is closely aligned to the Product organization, contributing to the practice of analytics-based decision making, driving the selection and adoption of new tools, and educating the Product and Design teams on their use. The position also works in close collaboration with the Data Intelligence team to identify and cleanly capture the data required for our algorithms.

The Web Analytics Analyst will have the opportunity to expand his/her understanding of product development through participation in XO Group's Product School and by working alongside our prestigious product community. It is a great chance to grow as an analytics professional.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the production and distribution of web analytics including:
    • Automated dashboards & reports
    • Ad hoc analysis as necessary to aid the Product organization in the analysis of web-based products
  • Maintaining the digital tracking infrastructure, including compiling and reviewing data requirements for the collection of web analytics and event data, and evaluating the product analytics landscape for new tools as they emerge
  • Educating and training the Product organization in the practice of Product Analytics and the accompanying toolset

  • Helping to “clean up” and centralize data for consumption by multiple stakeholders

We are looking for an experienced marketing manager to plan and execute B2B marketing programs to support and drive effectiveness for the XO sales team.  The Manager, B2B Sales Marketing will work closely with the Sr. Director, Sales Marketing and cross-functionally to execute marketing programs that help engage prospective and current clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, manage and execute all sales promotions for inception to fulfillment, including our Best of Weddings program.
  • Work cross-functionally to manage our paid and non-paid marketing efforts.
  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral for the Sales team (sales presentations, landing pages, email marketing, case studies, and more).
  • Responsible for day-to-day tracking of marketing budget.
  • Assist in the development of stage-based communications programs to prospects and existing clients.

  • 3+ years marketing experience (B2B, a plus)

ABOUT THE ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group Inc. (The Knot, The Bump, and The Nest) is looking for an Account Manager to join our Account Management team based in NY. This role will partner with the National Sales and Sales Planning teams and will support all post-sale and optimization efforts for a key set of accounts. This is a client facing role, focused on all post-sale activity and optimization between campaign launch and wrap- up. The ideal candidate is extremely analytical and a self-starter, with a passion for digital advertising, performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main point of contact for clients post-sale
  • Be an active participant in seamless handoff with the Sales Planner for post-sale execution
  • Be an expert in our ad product offerings
  • Ensure client satisfaction through excellent post-sale service:
    • Plan and run kick-off calls with clients
    • Confirm creative specs and asset deadlines for clients to gather assets
    • Ensure appropriate internal teams (Ad Ops, Studio, Email Ops, Social, Tech, Print Production) have the right assets with sufficient turnaround time for campaign deployment
    • Communicate with agencies/clients and outside vendors as needed for implementation of custom elements, specific tracking needs
    • Ensure all campaign line items launch on time, and provide clients with proof of launch
    • Manage creative revisions
    • Ensure order is kept up to date in order management system for accurate revenue recognition and billing purposes
  • Monitor delivery pacing and performance to ensure we hit delivery and performance goals and that client’s campaign KPIs are met. Make recommendations to clients to optimize as needed
  • Troubleshoot as needed to ensure campaign success - work with internal teams to deliver solutions to client
  • Share campaign insights with pre-sales teams via weekly team calls and wrap-up reports, to help pre-sales teams successfully generate the next renewal and/or up-sell the client

ABOUT THE SALES COMPENSATION ANALYST, LOCAL ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst to help manage and administer Sales and Service Incentive Plans.  The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with top-notch execution skills that will report to the Director of Sales Operations and work cross-functionally with the Sales, Finance, HR and Technology teams.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage incentive compensation payments through the review, approval and payroll process using Xactly and other tools.
  • Execute routine changes to incentive compensation plans to align with strategic drivers of the business.
  • Develop, maintain, and update systems and processes critical to the reporting and tracking of compensation metrics.
  • Develop and maintain recurring compensation reporting and performance metrics using Xactly Analytics to be distributed to Individual Contributors, Sales Management, and Local Executives.

  • Develop and maintain sales rep performance metrics to proactively identify areas for improvement including but not limited to: minimum performance standards, enhanced training, and  process efficiencies.

  • Support ad hoc projects and reports requested by sales management and corporate leadership including, but not limited to: compensation metrics and trends, best practices, job design, organizational structure and compliance requirements as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree (BBA/BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience required

XO Group is looking to hire an experienced Lead Software Engineer as part of a new engineering squad working on a highly visible XO initiative that will transform the way couples connect and collaborate with wedding pros.  The Lead Engineer will be responsible for managing a team of 4-6 talented full-stack engineers while working closely with their Product and Design Leads to collaborate and iterate on product features.  Our product and engineering teams work closely together at every phase of product development from research and inception to release and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is someone with a deep engineering background and management experience who enjoys driving results through empowering others just as much as delivering through his/her own individual contribution. The person has a passion for delivering value to users and the business through best-in-class engineering, product, and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a 4-6 person talented team of full-stack and mobile engineers
  • Will spend at least 30-40% time as an individual contributor directly writing and reviewing code
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineering teams at all stages of product development and launch.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver value to users and business partners.
  • Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap.
  • Contribute to the development of codebase and infrastructure (Node, React, AWS).
  • Lead and facilitate decision making during technical meetings.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of engineering and product processes
  • Leverage skills and experience to implement product features that are well architected, tested, and understandable.

  • 8+ years of overall engineering experience.

  • 2+ years of experience using React and/or Redux or other modern frontend framework.
  • 2+ years of experience using Node.js or similar technology.

ABOUT THE FULL STACK ENGINEER AND OUR TEAM:

The Full Stack Engineer is definitely not your traditional engineering opportunity.  Lasting is a scrappy startup trying to solve difficult problems, sprint quickly, and scale its service globally to help build and maintain marriages everywhere.

ABOUT THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is looking to hire an experienced senior software engineer to join one of our most exciting initiatives.  The right engineer will enjoy building scalable applications and amazing consumer experiences with an entrepreneurial mindset in a highly collaborative setting both with fellow engineers and also across disciplines to product and user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage skills and experience to implement product features that are well architected, tested, and understandable.
  • Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap and Agile planning.
  • Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc..
  • Provide mentorship to junior members of the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years overall engineering experience.
  • 2+ years hands-on proven track record implementing Go backend applications.
    • Experience with production Node.js solutions.
  • Experience with AWS Dynamo DB, Mongo DB and Redis at scale
  • Experience with AWS concepts and technology.
  • Experience working in an Agile, TDD environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Pair programming experience is a plus.
    • Working with a remote team is a plus
  • Experience with React a plus

ABOUT THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is looking to hire an experienced software engineer to join our Core Services team. This small team of engineers are responsible for the APIs, SDKs, and databases for the central services that support the various teams and products of The Knot. You will work on all aspects of the development lifecycle, from design through deployment, for some of the most widely used services on The Knot. You will work with a variety of teams at XO, from Product to Business Intelligence, to ensure the services built perform and meet the needs of our user-facing products as well as our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop new features and services for the teams of The Knot; work primarily in Ruby and Rails.
  • Continuously monitor performance and stability of services and databases to identify performance issues or opportunities for improvements.
  • Maintain API documentation and SDKs to help teams around XO easily consume your APIs.
  • Explore and learn new languages/tools (we’re currently exploring Elixir and Kubernetes) to continually improve the performance of our applications and infrastructure.
  • Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
  • Engage in cross-team engineering and technology initiatives at XO.
  • Provide mentorship to junior members of the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years working on production-level web applications, ideally using Ruby & Rails.
  • 1+ years building and maintaining Restful APIs.
  • Experience working with databases and experience with data storage best practices for both SQL and NoSQL databases. MongoDB experience a plus.
  • Consider solid automated test coverage to be an important part of the development process. Experience with TDD and testing frameworks a plus.
  • Experience with Docker and deploying applications to AWS. Kubernetes experience is also a plus.
  • Familiarity with the full application stack. Experience with front-end web and/or native mobile development is a plus.
