ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE ART DIRECTOR ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group, The Knot Magazine seeks a talented and enthusiastic Associate Art Director with 4+ years editorial experience to join our creative design team. This is the number two spot in a fast paced three person art department. This position offers exposure to all aspects of the design process, from conceptualizing initial story ideas, art directing photo shoots to exploring new design ideas for all sections of the magazine. The Knot produces a quarterly National Magazine and Biannually Regional issues, that you will get to be a part of.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and design high-impact editorial pages, graphics and typography
  • Generate innovative visual storytelling ideas for FOB, BOB and multi layered Features
  • Elevate the Knot brand through current editorial design trends
  • Partner with Design Director, Photo Director and Edit team on story development and visual concepts
  • Direct still-life photography shoots
  • Manage individual page production, pagination and shipping

ABOUT THE JUNIOR DESIGNER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a talented, full-time Junior Designer in The Knot Magazine’s editorial department. This position is a part of a creative, fast-paced, deadline-oriented three-person team. This individual will have a strong design aesthetic with a modern, thoughtful and fresh approach to design solutions. The Junior Designer should have excellent production skills and follow industry best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ABOUT THE SOCIAL MARKETING MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Marketing Manager to join our team. The Social Marketing Manager should have a strong understanding of how to build social media campaigns and a sense of what defines a successful campaign across various social platforms. Our ideal candidate is resourceful, comfortable working independently and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Associate Director of Social Media and will work closely with the Knot’s Marketing & Editorial teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist building and executing The Knot's influencer program; oversee deliverables and metrics.
  • Provide customer service to The Knot’s audience across Instagram and other relevant social media channels.
  • Manage daily Instagram outreach to couples and fans of The Knot.
  • Execute various marketing campaigns across social media platforms.
  • Design Instagram Stories and other social media graphics.
  • Assist with day-to-day posting across The Knot social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest).
  • Report on key social media metrics.
  • Identify social media partnership opportunities.
  • Ensure all organic and sponsored posts appropriately reflect The Knot brand.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years experience working in social media and influencer marketing campaigns.

ABOUT THE FP&A ROLE AND OUR TEAM

Our FP&A team is the critical eyes and ears to the financial progress of our company.  This is the team that pulls together our numbers and analyzes our business in partnership with our executive teams.  We are seeking a new FP&A Analyst to join our effort adding another set of strong analytic and business skills to our team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and produce management reports, business performance dashboards, and key metric tracking tools across XO Group, Inc.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, annual budgets/forecasts with relevant business teams
  • Complete actual results vs. budget/forecast / prior year variance analysis including written business performance commentary
  • Collaboratively work with the business team(s) to accurately summarize and present results to Senior Management;

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; formal training in entry-level banking or corporate training program, a plus

The Analyst will identify insights and trends in our data, enabling us to build products that better address our users' needs. This position in the Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics department sits at the intersection of User Experience, Product Analytics and Data Intelligence. The Analyst is closely aligned to the Product organization, contributing to the practice of analytics-based decision making, driving the selection and adoption of new tools, and educating the Product and Design teams on their use. About The Engineering Manager Registry Role and our Team:

The Knot’s registry product team is seeking an Engineering Manager to help lead one of the fastest growing and largest revenue generating products at XO. The Knot’s registry product is already the leading wedding registry product, used by a large percentage of brides in the US, and millions of guests. In 2018 we will be reinventing the product to maintain and increase our lead, and are looking for an incredibly strong engineering lead to manage one of the largest engineering squads at XO.

You will be joining a high-performing team with lean product and startup experience. Our product and engineering teams work closely together at every phase of product development from research and inception to release and maintenance.  

The ideal candidate is someone with a deep engineering background and management experience who enjoys driving results through empowering others just as much as delivering through his/her own individual contribution. The person has a passion for delivering value to users and the business through best-in-class engineering, product, and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead an 8+ person talented team of full-stack and mobile engineers on the development of The Knot Registry
  • Will spend at least 30-40% time as an individual contributor directly writing and reviewing code 
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineering teams at all stages of product development and launch
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver value to users and business partners
  • Contribute to the development of codebase and infrastructure (Ruby on Rails, Node, React, AWS)
