ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE MARKETING MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is looking for an Associate Marketing Manager to join our fast-paced, growing Consumer marketing team. We are looking for a smart, passionate and experienced marketer to conceptualize and create campaigns, identify strategic opportunities to enhance campaign performance, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to implement new initiatives. The ideal candidate is high-energy, self-motivated, and passionate about helping our customers love XO Group’s products and use it to navigate through some of life's biggest milestones!

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Marketing Director to develop strategic marketing plans for XO Group’s websites and products
  • Support the implementation of acquisition campaigns for Registry, Wedding Websites, Mobile Apps, and other digital consumer products
  • Develop and manage the implementation of acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Monitor and report on marketing KPIs and track performance to goals
  • Assist with campaign development by making data-backed recommendations to improve performance
  • Work with Creative/Design to develop cross-channel promotions
  • Partner with other teams (e.g., PR, editorial, product, tech) to leverage internal channels for growth and engagement
  • Manage paid media campaigns to development and management of search engine marketing, display ad and retargeting, paid social media and email marketing campaigns

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field required
  • 3+ years experience in digital marketing (technology company, a plus)
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
  • Proficiency with Excel, understanding of SEM/SEO
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented, with high standards for brand, messaging, quality and consistency of content
  • Self-starter, with proven ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strategic, creative thinker with critical analysis and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships

ABOUT THE EMAIL MARKETING ASSOCIATE AND OUR TEAM:

The Email Marketing Associate will be a key contributor in meeting engagement, sales and traffic goals for The Bump, The Nest and The Knot brands. This position will support the execution of editorial, advertising, product and marketing emails, track key email metrics & KPIs, derive insights from results and share recommendations with the broader marketing team and other departments.

The Email Marketing Associate must be able to react quickly to support business needs, determine daily activities and priorities while delivering projects to tight deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage email programs and calendars for both The Bump & The Nest brands, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage day-to-day email production including campaign creation, QA  and deployment using Responsys platform.
  • Track email metrics and deliverability; analyze results and recommend course of action.
  • Optimize performance of existing campaigns and programs by performing ongoing A/B testing.
  • Support email projects for The Knot brand as needed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to project manage multiple deliverables and brands. Key requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field. Background in editorial, e-commerce or consumer products, a plus.
  • 2-3 years experience in email marketing and execution
  • Strong understanding and experience working with/for an ESP. Experience with Responsys a big plus!
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience with A/B and Multivariate testing using complex segmentation.
  • Experience compiling and analyzing large amount of data and communicating results in an organized and concise way.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and G-Suite; high comfort level with pivot tables
  • Strong interest on current email best practices, strategies, and industry standards recommending new methods, innovative ideas, and/or technologies to grow the business.
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate workflows with multiple stakeholders (national advertising, editorial, marketing, product, design and creative).
  • Deadline driven, highly flexible, multi-tasking master with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking to hire a product marketing manager (PMM) for our growing marketing team. The Product Marketing Manager is the bridge between the products we build and the customers we serve. We serve both prospective and existing users and pair closely with our Product Manager stakeholders on the ideation, creation, and launching of new products.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive product positioning and strategy, manage product launches, and gather customer insights.
  • Understand XO Group's prospective and existing users, competitors, and how to make products more compelling.
  • Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits.
  • Create acquisition KPIs and determine channel marketing strategy.
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage.
  • Work closely with consumer marketing and design to develop and execute creative and effective campaigns; launch marketing and site materials.
  • Manage and execute tactical work from creating overview docs, product briefs, materials and copywriting for high-level messaging.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing or product management for a technical product.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You know how to tell a story to a customer. Ideally, you’ve created content where none existed before.
  • Experience working in product marketing throughout a product’s lifecycle.
  • Excellent project management skills; able to initiate projects and drive them to completion.
  • A strong orientation towards results. You can analyze user data and implement tracking to measure success.
  • Experience deriving user insights from various data sources. Excellent analytical skills (experience with Google Analytics and/or MixPanel a plus).
  • A proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with a variety of teams (i.e. product, design, PR, email marketing, sales, etc.)

ABOUT THE SENIOR DIRECTOR, B2B SALES MARKETING ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for an experienced marketer to create and implement B2B marketing strategies and programs to support and drive effectiveness for the XO sales team.

Our ideal candidate has previous experience producing highly-effective, integrated B2B sales and marketing programs. Main responsibilities in this role include developing timely promotions and campaigns, creating compelling supporting materials and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive results.  

The Senior Director of B2B Sales Marketing will work with a variety of stakeholders to build solutions to influence small business professionals to advertise with The Knot, the #1 wedding brand, across platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with sales team to create positioning, key messaging and storytelling across 11 categories and 82 markets
  • Manage sales documentation and collateral needs for XO Group’s sales team; customize materials for certain industry verticals
  • Grow and develop XO Group’s B2B marketing strategy that spans multiple marketing disciplines including product releases, lead nurturing, case studies, events, paid media, email marketing, and more
  • Leverage industry trends, consumer initiatives and competitive insight to inform programs
  • Produce high impact, bi-weekly sales programs
  • Build strong relationships with the field to drive adoption
  • Develop and implement stage-based communications program to prospects and customers
  • Partner with Product Marketing to bring new products and services to market

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years experience creating successful B2B sales programs
  • Strong understanding of a two-sided, marketplace business model (SaaS and/or small-to-medium business experience, a plus)
  • Demonstrated success partnering with a sales team
  • Proven ability to produce successful promotions, materials, and campaigns
  • Strong influence management and project management skills
  • Knowledge of marketing automation systems (HubSpot, a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Ability to build a customer experience and journey mapping
