ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE MARKETING MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group’s GigMasters Marketing team is looking for a smart, passionate and experienced Associate Marketing Manager to conceptualize and create campaigns, content, emails, and messaging that meet the needs of our vendors, our brand and our users. The right candidate is a high-energy, self-motivated, and passionate about helping event professionals do what they love for a living!

GigMasters, recently acquired by XO Group, is the marketplace for every event, providing party planners and hosts with an online tool to find entertainment and event services of all kinds. We’ve helped facilitate over 275,000 bookings and have over 70,000 event vendors, ranging from musicians and photographers to impersonators and magicians. GigMasters empowers people to make a living doing what they love, and we take pride in being able to do so.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the brand voice for B2B as well as B2C communication - it’s a pretty awesome voice to own!
  • Create, write, and track call-to-action emails, email campaigns, and email workflows (all with a mobile focus) to drive results, KPI’s, and revenue.
  • Write content, copy, and site messaging that drives our vendors, prospects, corporate clients and party planners to interact with our site and products.
  • Create clear marketing hooks and value props for our products and services and turn those into incredibly effective product copy, talking points, marketing materials, FAQ’s, and more.
  • Conceptualize, strategize, and collaborate across Product and Marketing to create go-to-market plans for our innovative products and new features.
  • Create paid SEM ad campaigns (adwords and social), while working alongside SEM team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in content marketing and/or communications (fast paced tech company a plus)
  • Exceptional, persuasive writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the demonstrated ability to write for and connect with small business owners (promotional copywriting a plus)
  • Past experience in email marketing or marketing automation preferred (Hubspot a major plus)
  • Detail-orientated, with high standards for brand, messaging, quality and consistency of content
  • High performing self starter, with proven ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strategic, creative thinker with critical analysis and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface across multiple departments. While willing to balance personal achievement with group goals.
  • Experience with Google Adwords, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, all a plus
  • Ability to make timely decisions, anticipate problems and provide creative solutions
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR OF EMAIL MARKETING ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are seeking a Director of Email Strategy and Operations to join our Marketing team.

This position will work with editorial, marketing, product and technology to build email relationships with our consumers. The person hired will be a resident expert and drive email strategy for the organization.We are looking for someone that come in and play a critical role in planning and developing email delivery strategies and best practices; growing engagement; creating new email products and processes and finding new monetization and revenue opportunities.

With a passion for email marketing, our ideal candidate will also manage the day-to-day email program across multiple revenue lines. This includes the development, testing, deployment and analysis of over 50 email campaigns weekly. He/she will maintain awareness of email marketing trends, best practices, and CAN-SPAM laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage email governance rules across the organization
  • Manage email marketing team that executes email campaigns across the organization
  • Ensure proper set up of all campaigns, QA and set up emails (as needed to support the team) and run trainings to maintain team skills both for direct and indirect email teams
  • Manage all calendars and schedules for email
  • Develop email program KPIs: list retention numbers, deliverability goals, open, click and unsubscribe metrics
  • Partner with tech and operation teams to ensure email platform stability, efficient operations and list hygiene best practices
  • Work closely with marketing, product, business departments on implementing content and subject line best practices for newsletters
  • Suggest and conduct tests on email elements to improve response email metrics
  • Keep abreast of email marketing industry best practices and proactively apply that knowledge
  • Provide reporting and results on daily/weekly/monthly basis to various departments
  • Conduct monthly meetings on "Lessons Learned" from each campaign, including successes and challenges and use these to develop better campaigns in the future
  • Prepare presentations documenting key learnings from test results

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with campaign management, testing and reporting
  • Proven experience leveraging data to drive smart audience decisions
  • Hands-on experience with major ESPs
    • Bonus for experience with Oracle Responsys
    • Extra bonus for experience with Movable Ink, LiveIntent, Mixpanel and Google Analytics
    • Previous experience working with the big four inbox providers on deliverability and an Understand and appreciation of emerging delivery challenges
  • A proven track record of success with growing customer engagement
  • Experience managing a team
  • Extremely organized and thorough
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail, and creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, internal clients, and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines
  • Basic HTML and some production experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

ABOUT THE SENIOR SALES MARKETING DIRECTOR ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Marketing Director to create and implement  B2B marketing programs that improve sales effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience producing highly effective integrated B2B sales and marketing programs. Your main responsibilities include developing timely promotions and campaigns, creating compelling supporting materials and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive results.  

Ultimately, you’ll work with a variety of stakeholders to build solutions that persuade small business professionals to advertise with the #1 wedding brand across platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce high impact, bi-weekly sales programs
  • Anticipate market opportunities across 11 categories and 82 markets
  • Leverage industry trends, consumer initiatives and competitive insight to inform programs
  • Oversee creation of supporting materials, i.e. videos, talking points, tear sheets, emails
  • Drive program effectiveness across channels, i.e. events, campaigns, paid media
  • Build strong relationships with the field to drive adoption

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years previous work experience creating successful B2B sales programs
  • Strong influence management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to produce promotions, materials and campaigns that drive results
  • Knowledge of marketing automation systems such as Hubspot
  • Good communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Understanding the mindset of local small to medium size businesses is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
