Cancer-Beating Leah Still Will Lead Father Devon Still and His Fiancée, Asha Joyce, Down the Aisle as Flower Girl Tonight at The Knot Dream Wedding

Planned by The Knot and Voted on by America, Fan-Favorite Elements Will Come to Life for the Wedding of the Year

NEW YORKMay 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — The Knot, the #1 online wedding brand and marketplace, will host the wedding of the year tonight for NFL player Devon Still and his fiancée, Asha JoyceThe Knot Dream Wedding will bring together some of the most prestigious wedding professionals to create a personalized and luxurious black tie affair at the historic New York Public Library in New York City for this amazing family.  Fans are invited to watch The Knot Dream Wedding on Facebook Live at Facebook.com/TheKnot beginning at 7 p.m. ET, and they can access behind-the-scenes action throughout the wedding day by following #TheKnotDreamWedding and @TheKnot on Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram.

The wedding is a true celebration, not only of this couple’s love for each other and their incredible journey, but also of life. Less than two years ago Devon’s daughter, Leah, then only 4 years old, was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma.

“After we got engaged we put off on the wedding because my daughter was supposed to be the flower girl,” Devon Still said.  “When the doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of surviving, we were not sure that we were ever going to get to that point where I was able to watch her walk down the aisle. Now that we are going into the wedding, I think it’s finally hitting us that we are over that hump. She really beat cancer.”

In March 2015, Leah received the news that she is cancer free, and tonight this 6-year-old will excitedly lead Asha down the aisle in a custom-designed Hayley Paige flower girl dress while wearing a one-of-a-kind bracelet designed by Devon, Asha and the artisans and designers at Simon G. Jewelry.  As the couple will be exchanging rings as a symbol of their love, they felt it important to provide something to Leah to represent their love and support for her. They created a timeless bracelet that symbolizes the blending of their families and the love they all have for one another. The bracelet, Leah’s favorite type of jewelry, incorporates her favorite color—pink—and includes butterflies to represents transformation into a new, beautiful life. They succeeded in creating a bracelet that conveys that she is the center of their world, today and always. The bracelet is specifically designed to fit her when she is an adult as well.
