ABOUT THE SENIOR FP&A ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM

XO Group is rounding out the transformation of its FP&A team. Our FP&A team is the critical eyes and ears to the financial progress of our company.  This is the team that pulls together our numbers and analyzes our business in partnership with our and executive teams.  We are seeking a new Senior FP&A Analyst to join our effort adding another set of strong analytic and business skills to our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and produce management reports, business performance dashboards, and key metric tracking tools across XO Group, Inc.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, annual budgets / forecasts with relevant business teams
  • Complete actual results vs. budget / forecast / prior year variance analysis including written business performance commentary
  • Collaboratively work with the business team(s) to accurately summarize and present results to Senior Management in both Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ad hoc projects to model and summarize current and projected financial performance for potential business arrangements (partnerships, M&A, licensing, etc.)
  • Contribute to FP&A team’s pursuit of excellence in systems and processes; partner with the Business Intelligence team as necessary to automate reporting functionality; optimize the FP&A team’s use budgeting / forecasting software to standardize management reports

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-6 years of corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint; strong modeling skills, coupled with an understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures and controls. Experience with Adaptive forecasting a plus.
  • Ability to interact with various internal groups; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; formal training in an entry level banking or corporate training program is a plus

  • Gatekeeper to senior executives: phones, mail, email, making sure meetings start and end on time

ABOUT THE ENTERPRISE DATA ARCHITECT ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Enterprise Data Architect is a highly visible and key cross-functional role that is tasked with ensuring the Tech organization is operating with a data first mentality and that data quality, integrity, consistency, and reliability are core requirements of all software/data systems. The Enterprise Data Architect will develop a detailed knowledge/understanding of the data our systems produce and provide both tactical and strategic direction as it pertains to data management, consumption, and production. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion data quality, integrity, consistency, and reliability throughout the tech organization by defining and promoting best practices and establishing/enforcing data governance across all product squads

ABOUT THE WEB ANALYTICS ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
We are looking for a Web Analytics Analyst to help us plan more personalized and fun weddings in a shorter time. As our Web Analytics Analyst, you will identify insights and trends in our data, enabling us to build products that better address a couple’s needs during life’s most important moments. Given the unique perspective of working across products and brands, this role is positioned to influence decision making by providing thoughtful analytical insights.

This position in the Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics department sits at the intersection of User Experience, Product Analytics and Data Intelligence. You will be closely aligned to the Product organization, contributing to the practice of analytics-based decision making, driving the selection and adoption of new tools, and educating the Product and Design teams on their use. The position also works in close collaboration with the Data Intelligence team to identify and cleanly capture the data required for our algorithms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the production and distribution of web analytics including:
    • Scheduled reports
    • Ad hoc reports as necessary to aid the Product organization in the analysis of web-based products

We are seeking a Director of Email Strategy and Operations to join our Marketing team.

This position will work with editorial, marketing, product and technology to build email relationships with our consumers. The person hired will be a resident expert and drive email strategy for the organization.We are looking for someone that come in and play a critical role in planning and developing email delivery strategies and best practices; growing engagement; creating new email products and processes and finding new monetization and revenue opportunities.

With a passion for email marketing, our ideal candidate will also manage the day-to-day email program across multiple revenue lines. ABOUT THE LEAD PRODUCT MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot’s wedding vendor marketplace is XO Group’s largest revenue business, accounting for nearly 60% of company revenue. We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to own all of our vendor-facing products and provide product leadership in our Austin location.

 Overseeing two product managers and three squads (one directly, two indirectly), you will be XO’s leader and expert on all things wedding vendor: who they are, what their needs are, what our product strategy is, and how we execute against that strategy. You will report to the VP of Product in NYC.

 What makes Product at XO different is we care about “outcomes over output”. Instead of Gantt charts and a focus on deadlines and ship dates, we focus on impact: results achieved, not features shipped. This means spending time on user research & discovery as well as iterating post-launch, often multiple times, until the desired outcomes are reached.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product strategy - what is the best path to achieving our goal; are we working on the most important things? Do our stakeholders understand what we’re working on and why?
  • Execution - are we building premier products that achieve the desired outcomes for our couples, our wedding vendors, and the business?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the brand voice for B2B as well as B2C communication - it’s a pretty awesome voice to own!
  • Create, write, and track call-to-action emails, email campaigns, and email workflows (all with a mobile focus) to drive results, KPI’s, and revenue.
  • Write content, copy, and site messaging that drives our vendors, prospects, corporate clients and party planners to interact with our site and products.
  • Create clear marketing hooks and value props for our products and services and turn those into incredibly effective product copy, talking points, marketing materials, FAQ’s, and more.
  • Conceptualize, strategize, and collaborate across Product and Marketing to create go-to-market plans for our innovative products and new features.
  • Create paid SEM ad campaigns (adwords and social), while working alongside SEM team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in content marketing and/or communications (fast paced tech company a plus
  • Exceptional, persuasive writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the demonstrated ability to write for and connect with small business owners (promotional copywriting a plus)
  • Past experience in email marketing or marketing automation preferred (Hubspot a major plus)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

The qualified candidate will be a high energy executive who has experience and existing relationships with senior level clients as well as in the agency/media buying community and who thrives in working in a fast paced digital media environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using your deep consultative sales skills, demonstrate the unique value proposition XO Group brings to drive programmatic revenue
  • Responsible for building and managing relationships with relevant programmatic demand sources, including clients, agencies and DSPs.
  • Structure packages and sell XO inventory via Programmatic Guaranteed and Private Marketplace.
  • Funnel demand side feedback to appropriate XO teams to identify areas for ad product and ad platform enhancements.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of company stakeholders (Sales, Account Strategy, Revenue Operations, Legal, Accounting and Ad Operations) to deliver programmatic revenue.
  • Serve as a programmatic subject matter expert within the company on key programmatic business trends and best practices.  
  • Train the Sales Team on packaging and selling programmatically.  As needed, join other sellers on sales calls with programmatic buyers.
  • Work with Marketing and Account Strategy to produce sales collateral (insights, media plans and post-campaign reports), as appropriate, for Programmatic buys.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years of digital media/cross-platform sales or buying experience (with 3+ years of digital experience in programmatic ad sales, revenue operations and/or business development)
  • Solid grasp of the programmatic media ecosystem and experience working DSPs, SSPs, DMPs and trading desks.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals as determined by management.
  • Able to easily create prospect lists and new revenue opportunities.
  • Should possess a database of digital agency, strategy and client decision-makers.
