RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate the SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q as well as assist legal with the Proxy statement; responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timing of the financial sections of the reports as well as the adequacy of information included. Work directly with inside and outside counsel, investor relations, and any other stakeholders
  • Liaise with the external auditors, overseeing the quarterly financial statement reviews and the year-end audit, responding to interim review and year-end audit queries
  • Research accounting literature and apply technical standards and analysis to complex or non-recurring business issues and transactions. Prepare written accounting memos documenting such issues/transactions for review by management and external auditors
  • Monitor the activities of all accounting standard setting bodies, including FASB, SEC and PCAOB, and evaluate the accounting and reporting impact of new standards. Additionally, monitor trends among other SEC filers to ensure the company’s reports are in line with industry and overall practices and standards
  • Responsible for integration of all accounting and reporting aspects related to acquisitions, including the purchase accounting and related documentation
  • Perform and prepare required documentation for annual goodwill and indefinite-lived intangible impairment testing
  • Manage direct reports to ensure proper staffing and department efficiencies, including training, development, coaching, counseling and performance reviews. Works with direct reports to set clear goals, objectives and set priorities

  • Responsible for executing a monthly general ledger close and quarterly reporting
  • Coordinating reviewing and posting of journal entries in various areas, including prepaid expenses, accruals

  • Sarbanes-Oxley internal control documentation and compliance

Great Plains Accounting guru that will maintain our existing GP environment and take us into the future by leading the charge to migrate our existing GP environment to Microsoft’s GP SaaS offering. Shine as you dazzle our accounting user community by delivering impeccable assistance and support for their inquiries and problems as they use Great Plains day to day.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Providing day-to-day technical application support for accounting user community
  • Configuring and deploying Microsoft GP on SQL platforms (including GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, order entry, HR, and purchasing modules)
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with hardware/software and escalate complex problems when necessary
  • Perform routine administrative tasks such as reviewing operating logs, applying patches, maintaining user accounts, etc.

ABOUT THE WEB ANALYTICS ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
We are looking for a Web Analytics Analyst to help us plan more personalized and fun weddings in a shorter time. As our Web Analytics Analyst, you will identify insights and trends in our data, enabling us to build products that better address a couple’s needs during life’s most important moments. Given the unique perspective of working across products and brands, this role is positioned to influence decision making by providing thoughtful analytical insights.

This position in the Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics department sits at the intersection of User Experience, Product Analytics and Data Intelligence. You will be closely aligned to the Product organization, contributing to the practice of analytics-based decision making, driving the selection and adoption of new tools, and educating the Product and Design teams on their use. The position also works in close collaboration with the Data Intelligence team to identify and cleanly capture the data required for our algorithms.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the production and distribution of web analytics including:
    • Scheduled reports
    • Ad hoc reports as necessary to aid the Product organization in the analysis of web-based products
  • Maintain the digital tracking infrastructure, including compiling and reviewing data requirements for the collection of web analytics and event data, and evaluating the product analytics landscape for new tools as they emerge

This internship will be between 30-40 hours per week-dependent on the department. We have a lot planned and we can't wait to see you this summer!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with The Bump Marketing Team to execute marketing strategies and grow existing programs.
  • Conduct A/B tests and analyze results to optimize marketing strategies and campaigns across social and email. Tasks could include developing a test strategy, building creative, pitching video ideas to test out via social, and coordinating across teams.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and research to understand the industry landscape across social and email. Research effective social media campaigns, potential guest leads for Facebook videos and make strategic recommendations.
  • Evaluate Google Analytics to track KPIs and communicate insights (knowledge of any major analytics package a plus i.e., Omniture, etc.).
  • Present findings in regularly scheduled meetings.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

This summer, we’ll be rolling out some engagement and communication projects and we need some help!

  • Collaborate with HR Communications Manager to support internal communications strategy and HR Project launch plans.

We’re looking to hire a product marketing manager (PMM) for our growing marketing team. The PMM is the bridge between the products we build and the customers we serve. We serve both prospective and existing users and pair closely with our Product Manager stakeholders on the ideation, creation and launching of new products.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive product positioning and strategy, manage product launches, and gather customer insights.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing or product management for a technical product.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You know how to tell a story to a customer. Ideally, you’ve created content where none existed before.
  • A history of working on product marketing throughout a product’s lifecycle.
  • Great project management skills; being able to initiate projects and drive them to completion.
  • A strong orientation towards results. You can analyze user data and implement tracking to measure success.

ABOUT THE REVENUE AD OPERATIONS ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

  • Yield management

  • Maintain accurate ratecards in OMS
  • Own the process of setting sales goals and act as an advisor to sales management using data driven reasoning

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

Reporting to the VP of UX and Design, the Director of Product Design will lead and mentor a talented team of 3-4 Product Designers that work in a cross-functional squad model. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Knot’s wedding vendor marketplace is XO Group’s largest revenue business, accounting for nearly 60% of company revenue. We believe personalization, search, and discovery will be the #1 driver of growth and improved user experience. We also are inventing new monetization products that will allow our wedding vendors to expand their reach on The Knot in targeted, user-relevant ways. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own these related high impact initiatives. This back-end focused role would invent the systems and algorithms to power discovery across all parts of the customer journey: TheKnot.com, The Knot Wedding Planner mobile apps, and email marketing. You would lead a dedicated squad of engineers and provide strategic direction to our Austin-based data science team, reporting to the VP of Product.

Responsibilities:

  • Product strategy - what is the best path to achieving our goal; are we working on the most thing
  • Product discovery - are we using user science and hypothesis testing to maximize learning and accelerate achieving our goals
  • Execution - are we building premier products that achieve the desired outcomes for our couples, our wedding vendors, and the business
  • Process - is your squad optimized for maximum impact and velocity
  • Collaboration - you’ll be working with other squads to integrate your results into their features, and working with business teams to identify the parameters and algorithms that would lead to the most impact; are all partners aligned on strategy and tactics

Skills & experience:

  • 5+ years experience as a product manager in an agile environment
  • Experience in personalization, recommendations, data science, demand shaping, or similar use of quantitative mechanics to drive user behavior
  • You can diagram 3-5 different ways to implement recommendations, with pros & cons
  • You care about Outcomes over Output - the goal is more important than the roadmap

ABOUT THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM

You’ll be a part of building a business within a business. Our Registry team identifies and shapes products and services to help couples plan their weddings and build their families. XO’s registry product is unique in that we have a patent on aggregating registries for couples, and in turn, providing a centralized location for gifting for wedding and baby events.


The Business Development Analyst s responsible for supporting and growing registry revenue via the effective management of a portfolio of existing retail and affiliate partnerships, prospecting and negotiating new partnerships, and working closely with a cross-functional team including analytics, product development, and technology to identify program enhancements, new revenue streams and partnership opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and foster relationships with major retail and affiliate partners
  • Ongoing tracking and analysis of Registry performance trends and KPIs
  • Present periodic performance updates to major retail partners such as Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Target (over the phone and in person)
  • Initiate and execute new e-commerce and/or barter partnerships to help grow traffic and revenue for the registry business(es)
  • Secure and negotiate partnership renewals
  • Identify and build relationships with prospective partners
  • Monitor adherence of legal terms and contractual obligations with input from legal
  • Work closely with marketing and product development teams to develop and execute marketing plans geared at driving awareness and usage of registry tools and services
  • Help communicate and resolve technical issues between the XO Group technical team and external partners
  • Administer annual Registry market research, summarize findings and share insights internally and externally
  • Collaborate with other XO teams (Advertising, Local, PR, etc.) for joint retailer initiatives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • BA (1-3 years of work experience, e.g. Business Development, Consulting, or General Management)
  • Consumer web company experience required (experience supporting or managing online services/businesses)
  • Experience with setting business goals, objectives, and strategies
  • Superior ability to analyze data, graph important trends, and identify key learnings/insights
  • Excellent presentation/ “pitch” skills (strong experience with Powerpoint)

ABOUT THE ENGINEERING MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

You will be leading talented and experienced engineering teams, working to build tools our users love, on the web and mobile devices using ASP.NET WebApi and MVC, Xamarin, AngularJS and other JavaScript frameworks.

  • Manage two small to medium sized Squads of talented, technical, full-stack engineers

About this Job and Our Team

XO Group is seeking a talented and driven full-stack engineer to join our Content Squad. The Content Platform Squad is responsible for every step in the life of TheKnot.com and TheNest.com editorial and creative content: from content management systems that enable our creative teams to publish articles and promotional materials, to deliverying it blazingly fast on any device to our end users, and tying it all together with a data- and mobile-first approach. The team is charged with an ecosystem of products to delight users when they first visit TheKnot or TheNest, to build trust within the first 1500ms. This role will have a major strategic and revenue impact at a product-driven company that is by far the leader in its space, touching more than 80% of U.S. brides.

You will be building tools to help us build, distribute, and innovatively present XO’s content, which means that you will be constantly met with unique technical challenges at every layer of the stack. You should be be interested in and have the ability to build complex features, evaluate and incorporate third party systems into our ecosystem as needed, create delightful user experiences, all while producing high quality code. You will be joining a team of talented engineers spread over our US and China offices and working closely with Product and Design in building out best-in-class content platforms.
