ABOUT THE REVENUE AD OPERATIONS ANALYST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented individual to fill a key role in our organization. Reporting to the Revenue Operations Manager, the Revenue Ad Operations Analyst will be crucial to yield & inventory management as well as providing visibility into inventory trends across the XO Group Network. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Yield management
  • Use outstanding analytical, quantitative and problem solving abilities to inform inventory decisions
  • Provide strategic support to the Sales Organization regarding daily inquiries into inventory availability
  • Proactively alert the team of potential delivery issues due to overbooking, traffic changes, and site nuances
  • Provide recommendations for alternatives when desired inventory is sold out
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to produce inventory related reports and dashboards including sell through analysis and forecasting models
  • Strategize with team members to develop ways to improve order & inventory management processes
  • Analyze DMP data to suggest viable Audience Segments for new sales products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Sales, Account Strategy, Product Management, Production and Marketing to identify inventory opportunities
  • Manage programmatic platforms (exchanges, DSPs, header bidding)
  • Maintain accurate ratecards in OMS
  • Own the process of setting sales goals and act as an advisor to sales management using data driven reasoning
  • Manage vendor relationships and lead regular calls with organized agendas

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in ad operations or online media/advertising with experience in inventory management a plus
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills and Advanced Excel proficiency required
  • Eagerness to learn quickly and take on projects with a sense of urgency and accountability
  • Experience with DFP Premium & Operative.One or other order management tools preferred
  • Experience with Yieldex preferred
  • Knowledge of DMPs, DSPs and Audience Extension preferred, but not required
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is seeking a Vice President of National Ad Sales to manage and to lead a sales team largely located in NYC and Chicago. The qualified candidate will be a high energy executive who has experience and existing relationships with senior level clients as well as in the agency/media buying community and who thrives in working in a fast paced digital media environment. The candidate will be comfortable leading and driving a team of digital media executives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading, coaching and retaining a high-performing team of national ad sellers for The Knot.com, The Nest.com, The Knot Magazine and driving revenue growth strategy
  • Overseeing the national media sales team for The Knot.com, The Nest.com, The Knot Magazine in developing a strong pipeline of qualified advertising prospects big enough to hit or exceed financial goals
  • Identifying and cultivating new revenue opportunities with category focus (i.e. Finance, Auto, CPG, Beauty etc.) to source new tranches of business, with both new and existing clients    
  • Managing client relationships from initial meetings through onboarding, onto long-term engagements through strategic management and leadership
  • Utilize existing client and agency relationships to drive large, long-term deals with top advertisers
  • Communicating industry opportunities to management and helping facilitate conversations and initiatives designed to best position the company for success
  • Ability to manage sales pipeline, utilize Salesforce and communicate monthly, quarterly and annual revenue projections to finance and executive team
  • Help to set overarching sales and revenue growth strategies in coordination with the EVP of National Sales and Marketing
  • Consult with Product team to help shape product development in support of client needs
  • Oversight of sales development and XO Studio branded content team
  • Guide the creation of dynamic and persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of XO Group to clients
  • Frequent short trips to attend meetings with customers and remote sales reps.



SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 12 years in media sales, 3 years in management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong understanding of digital landscape, basic knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Love of marketing and solutions-oriented, consultative selling.
  • Strong cross-functional and collaborative track record, team-player, able to multitask.
  • Deep relationships with agencies and clients, preferred in Insurance, Finance, Auto, CPG and Beauty.
