ABOUT THE LOCAL SALES EXECUTIVE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a go-getter with a strong background in closing high-volume sales, specifically new accounts. Having online advertising experience is ideal.. You own the cold call and can close deals in the blink of an eye. Others characterize you as a people person, and you can easily build relations with managers and local businesses in order to reach sales targets and boost The Knot’s market presence.

This role is located in NYC where you will have the opportunity to take on The Knot from an inside sales role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Give prospective clients a strong, crisp & on point presentation over the phone
  • Hold yourself accountable to meet and exceed all sales and performance goals on a consistent basis
  • Educate potential clients on the value of the Knot & how our partnership can grow their business
  • Be inquisitive, confident and know how to ask great questions to uncover the client need and be able to eloquently convince the client why The Knot is the right place to advertise
  • Committed to prospecting & cold calling in order to increase our market presence across your assigned region
  • Be persistent - consistently following up with potential clients to close sales is just want you do
  • Know how to make a recommendation based on the customer’s needs/customize a plan for the client

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Past experience selling multi-media advertising platforms
  • Experience in consultative, high-volume sales on a daily, weekly basis
  • Proven track record of prospecting and closing new accounts
  • CRM software experience, Salesforce a plus
  • Previous experience selling a digital based advertising solution in a transaction marketplace a plus
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 years advertising sales, 1 year outbound call experience
  • Experience in the wedding/bridal industry a plus

ABOUT THE OFFICE AND OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

  • Ensure smooth functioning of all critical business systems & office processes.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to internal constituents
  • Assist the Senior Operations Manager in keeping the office running like a well oiled machine

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide operational support to other departments as needed
  • Assist with administration of critical office software and systems including but not limited to: Google Drive, Kudos, Office 365, Samanage, Gmail, ShoreTel, and Slack
  • Make sure all employees maintain the necessary network, hardware & software configuration
  • Order all hardware & software for new and existing employees subject to the approval of the Senior Operations Manager
  • Ensure smooth onboarding experience for all new employees with regard to hardware, software, and supplies.
  • Assist with minor office repairs & improvements
  • Assist Senior Operations Manager with hardware, software and systems support issues reported on the Operations JIRA board.
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement of office supplies, hardware, and software subject to the approval of the Senior Operations Manager
  • Keep the office organized and running smoothly
  • Administrative tasks: expenses, travel etc.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess 2+ years of experience in operations or related field
  • Proven track record of driving consistently impactful results
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exception organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience with a CRM system such as SalesForce or ZenDesk a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface across multiple departments
  • Strong analytics, report-building and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of or strong desire to learn SQL
  • Bachelor’s Degree

ABOUT THE SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST, LOCAL ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst for our Local channel to help build, manage and expand our operations infrastructure.  The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver who has as passion for creating predictability, scalability and efficiency.  You will work cross-functionally with the Sales, Marketing, Product and Technology teams to drive the success of our go-to-market strategy and execution. You will develop, test and implement new strategies and programs to drive sales velocity and grow customer acquisition.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own prospect management process, including scoring, nurture, campaign tracking, targeting and segmentation, and territory methodology and assignments
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements across go-to-market strategy, with a keen focus on the top of funnel, lead generation activities
  • Actively monitor, analyze and report on the health of marketing contribution to sales activity, pipeline, acquisition and market penetration
  • Define ideal customer profile and work with marketing to ensure quantity and quality of lead-flow is sustained to meet sales capacity and achieve top-line sales and revenue goals
  • Define KPIs and maintain reporting system across full lifecycle of sales process from lead to close, to measure the overall health and performance of the Local sales channel

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience in sales, marketing or operations
  • Power user of Salesforce and marketing automation platforms (Hubspot a plus)
  • Analytical problem solver and decision maker with acute attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain, synthesize, and analyze data from disparate sources
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and advocating for your ideas and insights
  • Ability to prioritize, set deadlines, and meet aggressive goals
  • Thrive in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
