ABOUT THE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group Inc, seeks a smart & passionate sales professional ready to roll up their sleeves! The right Account Executive for this position will be intelligent, enthusiastic, a problem solver & above all – a team player!

This sales role is for our metro DC market and you will be working remotely. You should be a go-getter with a strong background in online & magazine advertising sales. Someone who owns the cold call and can close deals in the blink of an eye. Others characterize you as a people person, and you can easily build relations with managers and local wedding-related businesses in order to reach sales targets and boost The Knot’s market presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Giving prospective clients a strong, crisp & on point presentations over the phone & in person
  • Meeting and exceeding all sales and performance goals on a consistent basis
  • Educating potential clients on the value of the Knot & how our partnership can grow their business!
  • Engaging in prospecting & cold calling , while maintaining & growing current clients
  • Following up with potential clients to close sales
  • Providing prospective clients with custom multi-media advertising options
  • Being the “Face” of The Knot & representing the brand involves; bridal shows, cocktail/networking parties, trade shows and industry events
  • Field experience with larger clients introducing new online & magazine products

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Past experience selling multi-media advertising platforms
  • Previous experience working from home preferred
  • CRM software experience, Salesforce a plus
  • Previous experience selling a digital based advertising solutions in a transaction marketplace to local small and medium size businesses
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years advertising sales, 1 year outbound call experience
  • Experience in the wedding/bridal industry a plus
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation
  • Residence in the greater metro DC area.
  • Experience in consultative and high-volume sales

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing, event planning or inside sales role, a positive attitude and a strong desire to wow customers.

What You'll Do

  • Field inbound questions from members, clients and prospects via phone, chat, and email.
  • Proactively engage members, clients and prospects via phone, chat, and email.
  • Help GigMasters clients find and book the perfect vendors for their special events
  • Sell new memberships and Featured Profiles to prospective members
  • Assist existing members with renewal and membership-related issues
  • Encourage existing members to upgrade their memberships
  • Ensure service inquiries are handled timely and accurately - with a smile of course!
  • Suggest efficiency improvements, working with manager to determine best ways to implement.
  • Ensure all tasks are kept up on a daily basis. Develop ways to make tasks more efficient, when possible.

 

What you bring to the team

The Client Billing Support Specialist Team

The Client Billing Support Specialist team works daily to resolve past due balances on customer accounts.  Our goal is to collect money for the sales team and ensure customer’s billing accounts are up to date.  The CBSS role works directly with business owners across the country and has a direct relationship with them.  We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and do what we can to maintain our loyal client base while working to meet business needs.

 

The Customer Billing Support Specialist Position

If you are someone who enjoys seeing the reward of persistence and who isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and speak with people from all over the country, this position is perfect for you.  You should also be very detailed.  This role is an integral part of our sales team and impacts our bottom line.  The Client Billing Support Specialist will contact customers in regards to past due balances on their account, while providing excellent customer service to other team members and our valued advertisers. You’ll also have your own accounts, the perfect chance to make this position your own.  Bonus opportunities for individual performance too!

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Work directly with customers in a dedicated area of the country
  • Respond to customers regarding payment and billing questions via email and phone
  • Contact customers daily via phone and e-mail
  • Process CC and ACH payments and update payment and contact information as needed
  • Track daily progress via Salesforce
  • Work with members of the Customer Service and Sales Operations team to assure all customer needs are met
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication with both internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and highly organized team player
  • Ability to learn processes and systems quickly
  • Ability and desire to research accounts to get to the root cause of the customer issue
  • Experience using and navigating multiple computer systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment to onboard new members and assist them in setting up their accounts

Sales Representative, The Knot

We are looking for a go-getter with a strong background in closing high-volume sales, specifically new accounts. Having online advertising experience is ideal.. You own the cold call and can close deals in the blink of an eye. Others characterize you as a people person, and you can easily build relations with managers and local businesses in order to reach sales targets and boost The Knot’s market presence.

This role is located in NYC where you will have the opportunity to take on The Knot from an inside sales role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Give prospective clients a strong, crisp & on point presentation over the phone
  • Hold yourself accountable to meet and exceed all sales and performance goals on a consistent basis
  • Educate potential clients on the value of the Knot & how our partnership can grow their business
  • Be inquisitive, confident and know how to ask great questions to uncover the client need and be able to eloquently convince the client why The Knot is the right place to advertise
  • Committed to prospecting & cold calling in order to increase our market presence across your assigned region
  • Be persistent - consistently following up with potential clients to close sales is just want you do
  • Know how to make a recommendation based on the customer’s needs/customize a plan for the client
