ABOUT THE APPLICATION SECURITY ARCHITECT ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The  Application Security Architect  is responsible for all aspects of Information Security for XO Group, including Network Security, User Education and Training, Compliance, Application Security (partnering with Engineering and Development teams), Security Incident Response, and Security Consulting. The person will be highly adaptable while maintaining a high level of diverse technical expertise, as these responsibilities consist of a wide variety of technologies.  The role requires strong commitment setting and providing high levels of internal customer service.   In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of operational, tactical, and strategic activities on a day-to-day basis. This person collaborates with a team consisting of diverse technical skills across multiple locations, and will also successfully collaborate with matrixed teams within and outside of US.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You’re comfortable launching a bug-bounty program and organizing its outcome in priority of product impact.
  • You’ve read enough posts on here http://blogs.aws.amazon.com/security/post/Tx4QX7W51NDSLO/The-Most-Popular-AWS-Security-Blog-Posts-in-2015 to comment on existing and future AWS implementations and their impact on security.
  • You can understand concerns of a legal team and communicate the implementation implications and vulnerabilities found to a technical and product team.
  • You can perform ongoing prevention planning for attempted attacks.
  • You can set up monitoring and reporting against attempted attacks.
  • Ability to perform penn testing on iOS and Android applications, trace through the APIs they use and reason about API vulnerabilities. The APIs are mostly built with Ruby, C#, Node JS.
  • Ability to reason with the tech team about implications of CVEs and found security vulnerabilities and helping them prioritize their value.
  • You are able to cut through vendor-speak and discern between useful features and vaporware. You are demonstrate the ability to communicate the company’s requirements to the vendor sharply but without lasting repercussions.
  • You can put together tests or evaluation criteria to validate vendor feature claims and are able to communicate the results across the enterprise.
  • You are hands on and demonstrated a proven track record implementing and coordinating core initiatives such as single sign-on, multifactor, threat prevention and detection

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years’ experience of application security, development and production support.
  • In depth knowledge of penetration testing techniques and ways to avoid being vulnerable to them.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent evidence of aptitude.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage tasks against deadlines as well as mitigate risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to quickly isolate problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Solid understanding of common web application technologies and languages.
  • Familiar with vulnerability management and pentesting tools: NMAP, Nessus, Burp, ZAP, Nexpose, BackTrack, Kali Linux, or Metasploit.
  • Threat modeling and attack vector analysis.
  • Agility to work across multiple levels of the organization from developers and engineers to senior managers.  Demonstrated effectiveness in executive presentation, communication and escalation management.
  • Expressible ability to differentiate between a significant issue, a minor weakness, and a false positive.
  • Experience in Network Security.

ABOUT THE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for keeping the database infrastructure , both production and development, up and running smoothly 24/7. In addition, the DBA is responsible for keeping the environment in compliance with auditing standards by ensuring appropriate access and supporting various high-availability and recoverability goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide on-call operational support for database systems.
  • Manage users and permissions for both SOX-compliant and non-audited database instances.
  • Provide support for developers and end-users when faced with performance issues. 
  • Manage backups and ensure recoverability by testing the restore process. 
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure reliability and performance for database instances. 
  • Install and configure new SQL Servers as needed. 
  • Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors as well as internal support/developers.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Strong experience in Database Administration for SQL Server (2005 through 2012). 
  • Experience in troubleshooting database performance issues, as well as assisting in design and review of developer code. 
  • Familiarity with SQL Server high-availability technologies (Failover and AlwaysOn clustering). 
  • Experience with supporting related SQL Server technologies (Reporting, Integration, and Analysis Services) as well as being able to develop solutions as necessary for Reporting and Integration Services. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision. 
  • A Plus: VMWare experience, including building VMs as well as supporting the VM as well as adding storage 
  • A Plus: Experience with SOX compliance, as well as tools used to ensure compliance (Idera SQLSecure/Compliance Manager)

ABOUT THE FINANCE SOLUTIONS/ SYSTEMS ARCHITECT ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

XO Group is seeking a passionate Senior Principal Solution Architect / Director of Product with a background in Finance. This role is to develop strategy from inception to implementation of end-to-end solution for all our Finance functions.  

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with experience in Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, Procure-to-purchase, with ERP know-how.  We are looking for people who have experience working as Finance Product Owners, and the technical knowledge to architect the solution, assess build vs buy, and find the best-suited product for any products to be purchased.  

You will create the architectural blue-print, share and present the solution to Execs, business stakeholders and technical teams.  You will guide the Technical product Managers/BSAs to write the user stories, and follow Agile best practices.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote Product best practices and inspire the team to expect more.
  • Drive initiatives for all aspects of Finance & AR.
  • Work closely with our business stakeholders, technical engineering, QA, TPM and PMO teams.
  • Be able to speak thoughtfully to the technical aspects of your product.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-5+ years of Product Management excellence

ABOUT THE WEB AND MOBILE ANALYTICS MANAGER ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a Web Analytics leader to help us figure out how to plan more personalized, more fun, lower cost weddings in less time, reimagine how people propose to one another and support couples navigate their first pregnancy and have healthy babies. This will be accomplished by spearheading the efforts to identify insights and trends that enable us to build better products addressing these needs during a couple’s most important moments and journeys. Given the unique perspective of working across products and brands, this role is positioned to influence decision making by senior management through proactive analytical insights.

This position in the Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics department sits squarely at the intersection of User Experience, Product Analytics and Data Intelligence. This role is closely aligned to the Product organization, leading the practice of analytics-based decision making, driving the selection and adoption of new tools and technologies, and educating the Product & Design teams in their use. The position also works in close collaboration with the Data Intelligence team to identify and cleanly capture the data required for our algorithms, providing the perspective of seeing how product analytics integrates into the broader data landscape.

This is an opportunity to expand your understanding of product development through participation in XO Group's product school as well as working alongside our prestigious product community.  It is a chance to grow as an analytics leader and advisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Leading the team in the production and distribution of web analytics including
    • ongoing scheduled reports
    • ad hoc reports as necessary to support the Product organization in the analysis of their web based products
  • Maintaining the digital tracking infrastructure, including compiling and reviewing data requirements for the collection of web analytics and event data, and evaluating the product analytics landscape for new tools as they emerge
  • Education and training of the Product organization in the practice of Product Analytics and the accompanying toolset
  • Pro-actively identifying notable changes in our patterns and trends across all products and brands in the organization

TOOLS & TECHNOLOGIES:

  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
  • A/B testing - particularly using Optimizely
  • Experience collecting and leveraging user event data for analysis (segment.io, keen.io, MixPanel)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. - Mode, Tableau, chart.io, d3)
  • Basic SQL querying skills

ANALYTICAL SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent problem solving skills and have a knack for numbers and for recognizing trends and patterns in large amounts of data
